MATAR REDS | 2016 Petit Verdot
Made from 100% Petit Verdot grapes grown in the Jerusalem Hills region, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. This is an earthy and rich wine, characterized by aromas of dried fruit and ripe berries, full body and a rounded finish.
Fermentation with the skins for two weeks at relatively low fermentation temperatures.
The punching down and pumping over methods were used every four hours for maximum flavor and color extraction.
This was followed by malolectic fermentation in French oak barrels and 14 months of aging in new barrels.

A blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Grapes were harvested in the Upper Galilee and the Jerusalem Hills. The wine aged for 14 months in french oak barrels.
